GOWTU is a boutique style creative agency, rooted in contemporary culture and functioning as a creative hub between brands and the demographics they communicate with. We help brands create cultural currency in order to facilitate a solid base for them to engage with their audiences.Our agency, founded by Djordy Latumahina, Arthur Manduapessy and Gabriël Ercicia, originated from Amsterdam’s nightlife and street culture. We combine this background with our experience and knowledge in branding, strategy, content creation, design, creative production and community building.

CREATIVE DIRECTION

Lee is a self-taught creative whose expertise spans a number of cultural fields, including skateboarding, music, fashion, design and photography. He is one of the original team members of Amsterdam-based streetwear brand Patta, where he worked as a designer and media director for over a decade, before setting off as a freelance creative.His portfolio includes work with brands such as Adidas, Converse, Dior, Levi’s, Nike, Stüssy and Vans, among others. In 2018 Lee joined Gowtu to collectively broaden our creative endeavors.

ART DIRECTION

RANDY
SOEWARNO

BRAND STRATEGY

Fueled by an early interest for brands versus culture, Randy studied International Business, followed by a Master’s degree in Marketing at the Rotterdam School of Management. She landed her first PR job at Reebok’s European offices. Randy then moved on to Converse as a communications manager for Northern Europe, and then to Sonos where she was responsible for brand marketing in the Benelux and France.After years of working for and learning from international brands, it was time for a new challenge. In 2019 she joined team GOWTU where she focuses on brand strategy.

MANDUAPESSY

MULTI MEDIA DESIGN

Emilio is the newest member of the team. Our Benjamin and studied Communication & Multi Media Design at the HvA in Amsterdam. His specialisation lies in UX Design and media. Next to his design projects Emilio is active as a photographer. His work spans a wide range of creative outputs, but can be linked together by his focus on contemporary culture.At GOWTU Emilio combines all his creative skills and takes part in virtually every process from creation to experience and from production to content.

DJORDY LATUMAHINA

IMAGINEER

The story of GOWTU cannot be told without mentioning our homeboy, co-founder, imagineer and awesome human being, Djordy aka Djor. In 2016 he hit up Arthur to discuss setting up a creative agency that would focus on culture and create work based on authenticity and relevance. A few months into it Djor and Art reached out to Gabi and the core of the agency as well as its vision was formed.After graduating from Leisure Management, Djor moved to Amsterdam to program venues such as Paradiso and Bitterzoet. He quickly became a pillar inside Amsterdam’s nightlife and started creating platforms for young creative talent giving them the opportunity to work with brands. This inspired him to find more meaningful and genuine ways of connecting brands and their audiences.Djor became well known, connected, appreciated and loved as a cultural accelerator within the creative scene in Amsterdam. Unfortunately he was taken away from us all way too early, but his legacy is still vibrant and present in a wide variety of brands, musicians, creatives, nightlife platforms and even more so on a personal level for the larger part of the community.Aaaaaaayyyeeeee!!!

Arthur Manduapessy

Creative direction

Arthur studied International Business and went on to work as a creative in New York, Dubai and Amsterdam. His portfolio includes work for Nike, LG, MTV and Heineken. He's passionate about football and kickboxing. Since the start of the agency Arthur's been responsible for creative direction.

Randy Soewarno

Brand strategy

Randy has a master's degree in marketing and 10+ years experience with brands such as Converse, Reebok and Sonos. She's super serious about food and needs to make music and do sports to function. At GOWTU, Randy's responsible for brand strategy.

Masta Lee

Art direction

Lee is a multidisciplinary creative with 20+ years experience as designer of graphics, fashion and products. He traveled the world as a skateboarder and DJ and functions best at night. Lee spent over 13 years at Patta as designer and media director. At GOWTU Lee focuses on art direction and content creation.

Emilio Manduapessy

DESIGN

Emilio studied Art & Design and is complementing this with Behavioural/UX Design. A lot of his inspiration comes from his love for renaissance art and architecture. At the agency Emilio's responsible for graphic design and animation design.
