Cutting through the landscape at eye level, extended journeys taken by train can present a new perspective on the world around us: the borderless transitions between distinct terrain, captivating natural beauty, and urban sprawl. In the short film Tin Lizards, co-directed with Sam Zarrin, fine art and documentary photographer Robert LeBlanc captures the romance of travelling the USA by train – communicated through a visual poem strung together by spoken word, still photography, and sweeping panoramic shots.
